How Do We Begin?

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Computer Modeling: Our Primary Tool for Airflow Management

By employing computer models of each data center, we are able to understand the flow of air from the CRAC units to the thermal load and back again. This helps us see the affect of things such as by-pass airflow, airflow re-circulation, and subfloor delivery of air in both volume and "throw rate."

What We Need...          ...Contact MCP

In order to create an accurate before and after CFD, Midwest Computer Products, Inc. will require the following information:

  1. Floor Plan (alpha numeric tile placement)
  2. CRAC Brand and Model Number
  3. CRAC Placement
  4. Sub-Floor Plenum Height
  5. Perforated Tile Percentage of Opening (25%,30%,40%,50%,60%)
  6. Perforated Tile Placement
  7. Uncovered Cable Cutouts (approximate size 6x6,8x8,10x10)
  8. Sub-Floor Obstructions (over 6 inches)

 What We Will Deliver...

We provide quick, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to computer cooling needs by first calculating the airflow rates based on the current configuration of your data center. Then engineer a solution with the SubZero program. Finally, we will offer you a side-by-side comparison.
